I see my painting "Adoption" as a sketch of my painting "Syzygy". The butterfly in this painting comes from one of my most vivid dreams. In this dream, I was in a pitch-dark abandoned house and i saw a light coming from my forehead, like a narrow beam flashlight attached to my head, lighting my way as i walk around frightened. Then i saw this sloppy sketch of a colorful butterfly right in front of me. I had to paint it :) To me, this painting represents getting out of dark situations, seeing hope and light. It is reminder for me to never loose your faith in yourself :)
